Granada Airport (GRX):
Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén airport is a small airport with a relaxed atmosphere and a very nice restaurant. It is situated ten miles (17 km) outside the city. The airport is accessible from the main A92 motorway. If you are driving from Malaga, follow the N331, then take the A359 which meets the A92 near Loja. There is a large car park (with spaces for over 500 cars) directly outside the terminal building. Parking charges are: up to 30 minutes, free, and approximately €1 per hour thereafter. A 24-hour pass and a monthly pass can also be purchased in the terminal building. The car park is open from 7.30am – 9.30pm.
The airport building has a bar, several restaurants and cafes, shops, a VIP lounge, car hire offices, hotel reservation booths, basic banking facilities, an information desk, and various other services. While smaller in comparison to Malaga Airport, Granada Airport offers more direct access to the city of Granada.
From Granada Airport, you can arrange for a rental car, take a taxi, or opt for airport shuttle services.
Malaga Airport (AGP):
Malaga Airport is the largest and most well-connected international airport in the region.
From Malaga Airport, you can take various transportation options to reach Costa Tropical. These include rental cars, airport shuttles, taxis, or public buses.
By Car
Most roads in Spain are open for public use without charge. This includes highways, which have separate lanes for each direction and no intersections at the same level. However, there are some roads, namely motorways, where a toll may be required. The toll amount varies depending on the specific route, and usually, there are free alternative routes available. There are no tollls road needed to get to Costa Tropical.
The roads that get to Costa Tropical are:
N-340 If you are coming from the Costa del Sol or from the Costa de Almeria.
A-44 If you are coming from Granada. This road is the one that connects Granada with Motril. If you are coming from Madrid, take the National IV to Granada and then turn onto the N 323.
If you are coming from Seville or from the North of Almeria, you will need to take the A-92 to Granada and then take the A44.
Regulated Parking: It is common for cities to regulate street parking through parking meters. You’ll be able to identify regulated zones by the colored lines in the parking areas.
Traffic Restrictions: Many destinations have prohibitions or limitations on traffic for non-resident or polluting vehicles. This includes numerous historic cities that restrict motor vehicle access to the city center. Likewise, Granada city only allows access to its central area for Zero Emission vehicles or residents.
Customers of hotels in the restricted access area of Granada city are considered residents of the neighborhood, therefore, they are authorized to enter through the access control. To do this, they must provide their license plate to the reception of their hotel so that the establishment can send the reservation data to the Integrated Mobility Management Center. Don’t forget to inform your license plate to the hotel. If you are going to pass through Elvira Street, please communicate your vehicle’s license plate before entering Granada. If you are coming through San Matías Street, you can do so once you arrive at the hotel. Consult your hotel for the recommended route to access it and the parking possibilities.
Car Hire
Renting a car in the south of Spain is a very straightforward matter, and car rental charges here are among the lowest in Europe. Rental cars also tend to be in very good condition. One important thing to note is that the accepted method of payment is by credit card, and payment in cash is usually not acceptable.
To hire a car you will be required to show your passport and your driver’s licence. A full US or European licence is valid in Spain for visitors to the country.

Taxi information
Taxis are always white with a green band on the door. There are no fixed rates. Make sure that taxi driver activates the taxi meter. On the screen you will see the price of the ride as it goes. Rates are different wheher is day, night, bank holiday or weekend. A taxi from the airport into the city centre will cost aproximately 25-30 euros form Monday to Friday and 25-35 euros on the weekend, to Almuñécar: 100 euros, to Lecrin Valley: 40-50 euros, to Sierra Nevada 60-100 euros and to Málaga 180 euros.

Train information
The main railway stations on the area are Granada and Málaga. Both offer high speed train service (AVE) (speed of 330 kilometers per hour).
Granada rail way station operates train routes to and from Almería, Barcelona, Córdoba, Madrid, Málaga, and Seville. Sometimes it is necessary to stop briefly or change train in Antequera or Cordoba, but your ticket will include it.
The trip to Madrid on Ave takes as little as 3 hours and 35 minutes.
There are discounts available for young people, individuals over 60, large families, and pensioners.

Puerto Deportivo Marina del Este
Marina del Este or Puerto de Punta de la Mona is a marina located in the Spanish town of La Herradura, in the municipality of Almuñécar. It is of medium size, with a capacity for 227 berths, lengths of up to 30 meters, and depths ranging from 3 to 6.5 meters.It is situated in the bay of Los Berengueles, on the eastern side of La Punta de la Mona.
