Torrenueva Costa, on the Costa Tropical, is preparing to welcome the ‘Mar de Ídolos’ Festival, a three-day music event taking place from July 25 to 27. The festival promises a lineup that will take audiences on a musical journey through different eras and generations, offering entertainment for both locals and visitors.
The opening night, Thursday, July 25, will celebrate the golden decade of the early 1990s, featuring the best of eurodance, electronic music, and iconic hits from that era. The lineup includes well-known artists such as Chimo Bayo, Paco Pil, SBS, Locomía, Gusanito, and La Madre del Topo, ensuring a night full of energy and nostalgia.
On Friday, July 26, the spotlight will turn to two legendary acts from the 1960s Spanish pop scene. Fórmula V, famous for timeless classics like “Cuéntame,” “Eva María,” and “La Fiesta de San Blas”, will share the stage with Los Puntos, known for songs such as “Llorando por Granada” and “Esa niña que me mira”, keeping the spirit of an entire generation alive.
The festival will conclude on Saturday, July 27, with a performance by Camela, the iconic duo formed by Ángeles and Dioni. Known as pioneers of the tecno-rumba genre, their songs such as “Escúchame, compréndelo,” “Nunca debí enamorarme,” and “El calor de mi cuerpo” have become anthems for millions of fans over the years.
