Not everyone who loses a five-figure sum is as fortunate as to have it returned. Nevertheless, this stroke of luck occurred for an elderly woman who accidentally left €13,325 in a shopping basket at a supermarket in Estepona. The incident was reported when a store manager found a toiletry bag in a shopping basket. Inside the bag were 206 fifty euro notes, 144 twenty euro notes, three ten euro notes, and three five euro notes. The total amount lost by the individual while shopping was 13,225 euros.
Local police carried out an investigation and successfully identified a 73-year-old local woman. Upon contacting her, they conveyed the happy news that her stack of cash awaited her at the police station.
