Almuñécar Blues Fest 

The first edition of the Almuñécar Blues Fest will feature legendary stars such as Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), who will be performing in Andalusia for the first time, Rick Estrin & The Nightcats, DK Harrell, and Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. The open-air event will take place on the weekend of July 10 and 11 at El Majuelo Park, starting at 9:00 PM.

July 10:

– RICK ESTRIN & THE NIGHTCATS, led by blues star Rick Estrin, a true master of the genre and a harmonica virtuoso, will also be coming to Almuñécar this July. Their smart, tradition-respecting yet fresh and wildly entertaining blues-rock has toured across half the world. A no-holds-barred show delivered alongside top-tier musicians such as guitarist Kid Andersen, keyboard genius Lorenzo Farrell, and the endlessly creative drummer Derrick “D’Mar” Martin.

– Louisiana guitarist and singer DK HARRELL, one of the most in-demand artists on the blues scene. His passionate live sets reflect his deep love for the blues, and there’s a wave of joy in his music that connects with the audience. He describes it as: “I love playing music for people and seeing how they share the experience.”

July 11:

– Legendary and versatile English musician GLENN HUGHES, known as the vocalist and bassist for Deep Purple’s Mk III lineup in the 1970s, later joined Black Sabbath and has had a long solo career, including work with his band Black Country Communion. In 2016, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Deep Purple.

– Siblings KITTY, DAISY & LEWIS, who have sold over a quarter of a million albums worldwide and sold out venues on their tours, have performed at Bestival and Glastonbury multiple times and opened for major acts like Mark Ronson and Coldplay. Their set features R&B, jazz, soul, blues, ska, country, rock ‘n’ roll, and much more.
