II CLASSICAL MUSIC FESTIVAL “VALLE DE RÍO VERDE”

The University of Granada Orchestra will bring the 2nd Valle de Río Verde Classical Music Festival to a close with a grand concert in Almuñécar, under the theme “Granada is Film Music.” The program will feature pieces from films shot in the Province of Granada, accompanied by a projection of images from these films.

The University of Granada Orchestra was founded in 2007 and has already given more than two hundred concerts, performing in Granada and its province, as well as throughout much of Spain: Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Alicante, Santiago de Compostela, Valladolid, Zaragoza, Jaén, Ceuta, Melilla, etc. Internationally, the OUGR has performed in Morocco and China, where it undertook an extensive 10-concert tour as part of the “Enarmonía” project.

Apart from its seasonal concerts, it has collaborated with the Granada International Festival of Music and Dance-FEX, the Úbeda Festival, the Zaragoza International Festival of Young Orchestras, the Cycle of large groups of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and collaborated with companies of the prestige of La Fura del Baus, Títeres Etcétera and Granada Tanz or even symphonic rock concerts such as those performed with the rock band Sôber.
