Malaga Airport has earned a spot in AirHelp’s annual ranking of the world’s best airports for the first time, securing the 134th position. AirHelp evaluates airports based on services, punctuality, complaint handling, and amenities like catering and shopping. Malaga scored 7.1 for punctuality, 7.6 for customer satisfaction, and the same score for its amenities, totaling a 7.27 score, matching Toulouse-Blagnac airport in France.
The top-ranked airport globally is Muscat International Airport in Oman with a score of 8.54, followed by Recife Airport in Brazil and Cape Town Airport in South Africa. Among Spanish airports, Bilbao leads at 21st globally, followed by Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez, Valencia, Barcelona, Ibiza, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, and Malaga.
This year, the ranking expanded from 132 to 194 airports worldwide.
